- PROPOSAL NOTICE - The Owner invites competitive sealed proposals from Contractors for GONZALES CHAMBER OF COMMERCE - NEW BUILDING RENOVATION, Gonzales, Texas. Proposals will be received until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 13, 2020, at the office of TSG Architects AIA, 312 Saint Francis Street, Gonzales, Texas 78629, (830) 672-7801, and at that time all proposals shall be opened and read aloud. No proposal may be changed, amended or modified after the same has been submitted. A proposal may be withdrawn, however, and resubmitted any time prior to the time set for receipt of proposals. The Gonzales Chamber of Commerce has the right to accept or reject any bid or to waive any technicality which may be in the best interest of the Gonzales Chamber of Commerce. Each bid proposal must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, or an approved bidder's bond in an amount not less than 5% of the maximum total bid, payable to the Gonzales Chamber of Commerce without recourse, as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds on the forms provided, within ten (10) working days after the award of contract. The work will be awarded under a single lump sum contract for all general construction work per Section 00 2116 and Section 00 4200. A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 9:00 a.m., Thursday, July 30, 2020, at the Gonzales Chamber of Commerce's new building, 304 Saint Louis Street, Gonzales, Texas 78629. All bidding general contractors must attend or have a qualified representative present to attend this meeting. Face coverings may be required to be worn at the pre-bid conference. Structural Retrofitng Exterior Wood Siding Stone Masonry Veneer Light Gage Metal Framing Glazing Tiling Acoustical Cellings Flooring Architectural Milwork Painting Metal Awnings Sheet Metal Flashing/Trim Wood Doors Signage Toilet Compartments Mechanical Interior Aluminum Office Front Framing Drywall Electrical Insulation Plumbing Substitutions: During bidding, the Architect may consider written Request for Substitutions, received at least ten (10) days prior to the original bid date and hour. Request for Substitution must be submitted in accordance with Section 01 6000. Availability of Plans and Specifications: Plans and Specifications are available from the architect, TSG Architects AIA, 312 Saint Francis Street, P.O. Box 1573, Gonzales, Texas 78629, 830-672-7801. A current, completed AIA A305 will be required prior to receiving plans and specs. Contractors may obtain one (1) printed set after receipt of refundable deposit of $185.00 per set. Sub-Contractors may obtain one (1) printed set after receipt of non-refundable deposit of $185.00 per set. Additional printed construction document plan sets may be purchased at $185.00 per set, plus postage and handling if applicable. A downloadable electronic file of the construction document plan set is available for a non-refundable deposit of $50.00.
